Chris Smith is a purpose-driven leader, writer, and speaker who combines faith, personal development, and community impact to inspire lasting transformation. His message is rooted not only in conviction, but in lived experience. After overcoming a twenty-year battle with methamphetamine and opiate addiction, Chris now lives in long-term recovery and boldly shares his story as evidence that redemption is real and sustainable change is possible.

As a justice-impacted individual, Chris serves on the Governor’s Justice Impacted Advisory Council, helping shape policies and solutions that support successful reentry and second chances. He is also a Board Member with NAMI serving Obion and Dyer Counties and a member of the Gibson County Opiate Abatement Council, where he advocates for compassionate, community-centered responses to the addiction crisis.

With a degree in Social Work, Chris has been a multi-business owner who intentionally created employment opportunities for individuals in early recovery—providing pathways to stability, dignity, and renewed purpose. He has partnered with the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services through contracts with the Obion County and Weakley County Prevention Coalitions, serving as both a Lifeliner and Faith-Based Community Coordinator for Northwest Tennessee.

Today, Chris serves as the Chief Growth Strategist for The Alliance Group, a long-term, faith-based workforce facility for men. In this role, he continues to champion restoration, opportunity, and purpose for those ready to rise above their past and step fully into the future God has prepared for them.

Chris carries a powerful message of hope: no life is too broken for redemption, and through faith, accountability, and community, transformation is possible.
